The Production Factory was founded in 2004 by the CEO Lisa Gorman. The company remains independently owned and produces stills and film content worldwide.

A proud Mancunian Lisa started her career in fashion in Manchester in the 1990’s. She moved to London and in 1999 founded the Lisa Gorman Agency (LGA) representing some of the world’s leading fashion photographers. Whilst working at LGA she noticed a lack of production companies in London so she then started The Production Factory. Lisa quickly expanded the business opening the Mallorca office in 2005 and Miami office in 2007.

In 2015 Lisa was approached by one of her clients to build a studio in Manchester. It was always a dream of Lisa’s to have an arm of the business in her hometown. A production office and four-studio-complex were built that same year. In the following year The Production Factory New York opened.

In the last four years The PF Group have seen a big expansion with the commercial film division and the launch of a post-production arm The Edit Factory. Last year the group added a production kit house to the books with the opening of The Kit Factory.

My dream job as a child was to be a Doctor.

The best part about my job is the variety & working with our awesome team at TPF.

My favourite shoot memory is shooting swim athletes in Tokyo for Speedo. It was a fast and furious shoot, small time frame and lots to capture but an incredible place to travel to and incredible athletes to work with.

The most challenging shoot request I’ve had was trying to catch a lamb for a shot during lambing season - really isn’t as easy as it sounds!

My superpower is that can sleep anywhere!

As a child, my dream job was to be The Wedding Planner JLo style, but I ended up producing campaigns instead of weddings!

The best part about my job is building long term relationships with clients and working with our fab team. Seeing a photographer or director I’ve suggested to win a campaign is still hands down the biggest buzz!

My superpower is remembering the name of pretty much every crew member I’ve worked with in the last 12 years. It’s a freakishly useful talent!

My dream job as a child was to be a scuba diving instructor.

The best part about my job is seeing how far TPF has developed in the last five years from an operational perspective, and how this has best supported our growth. I also enjoy the variation, not one day is the same, and working with an amazing dedicated global team.

My superpower is continued resilience.

My dream job as a child was to be a police officer, or a librarian!

My superpower is multitasking!

My dream job as a child was to be a hairdresser. I took great pleasure in decorating my dolls with lipstick highlights and wonky fringes.

The best part about my job is seeing a creative brief on the page and pulling the best teams together to bring it to life.

My favourite PF success story is our Clarks & Jamaica Documentary. A Cannes Film Festival winner, shot during lock down with an amazing local crew; it was a really special experience to shoot Jamaica through a local teams' eyes.

My weirdest shoot request to date has been, "We need two wolves on a mountain, and a shed on fire next to them."

My superpower is laughter. A well prepped shoot with a talented team should be a fun and creative experience. Enjoy it!

My dream job as a child was to be an Airline Pilot.

Perhaps that explains why I believe the best part about my job is visiting amazing locations and interacting with top notch creative talent!

My favourite shoot memory/shoot success story is 5:30AM, Joshua Tree, CA and the sun rising over the desert.

My superpower is making people believe I actually have a superpower.

My dream job as a child was to be an artist, I was really into drawing and painting!

The best part about my job is the collaboration with talented people and the art that comes out of it.

My favourite shoot memory was an editorial with motorcycle stuntmen and stunt women in the middle of a national park.

The most challenging campaign was shooting 7 locations around Miami with a crew of 35 people in a single day.

My favourite shoot memory is when I got to meet Orville but sadly Basil Brush didn’t show up.

The best part about my job is how every day is different, one day I’ll be head down in estimates and budgets and the next I will be on set in a stunning location with interesting teams, dealing with whatever the day throws at you!

My favourite shoot memory is shooting hot air balloons at sunrise in the Moroccan desert.

The weirdest shoot request I’ve had was sourcing zebras for a London studio.

My dream job as a child was to be The Little Mermaid, until I realised I’d never give up talking…

The best part about my job is getting to choose the catering.

My favourite shoot memory is crossing the violently choppy Aegean sea in a tiny fisherman’s boat full of glass homeware samples…hilarious and horrendous in equal measure!

The weirdest shoot request I’ve had was to find a living 1kg jumbo lobster.

My dream job as a child was to be snail picker in the South of France.

The best part about my job is getting to work with some really amazing and creative people from all over the world.

My favourite shoot memory is the British Vogue campaign for the Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz wedding. An amazing location and such nice humble people, it was such a pleasure working with the entire creative team and talent.

The most challenging day on set was when we had 4 trucks full of merchandise to shoot in 2 days, totally taking over someone’s house. It was of course a success in the end.

My superpower is being able to spin 20 plates at once without dropping one.

My dream job as a child was to work at Seventeen Magazine.

The best part about my job is travelling and meeting/working with new, inspiring people on each job.

My favourite shoot memory is waiting out a rainstorm by a volcano in Mexico, and getting to capture the most spectacular rainbow in the last 10 minutes of shootable light!

The most challenging shoot request I’ve had was a combined campaign shoot with locations in North America and globally. Shot in the heat of summer in NYC, 7 shoot days with a different location each day with a 70 person crew!

My superpower is being a dog whisperer.

As a child I wanted to be Kim Possible.

The best part about my job are the new challenges every day.

My superpower is making & consuming lunch in under 5 minutes.

My dream job as a child was to be an actor. After getting the starring role in the Christmas play aged 5 you couldn’t shut me up. Not sure much has changed.

The best part about my job is helping make brands shine brighter than a disco ball. I love seeing the final films and images which makes all the late nights worthwhile.

I’m also a big believer in championing new talent, both creatively and in our production family, seeing someone grow, develop and reach their potential is amazing!

My superpower is the ability to juggle more tasks than a circus clown on a unicycle!

The most challenging shoot I've produced was at a reservoir on the hottest day of the year, with snow business.

My dream job as a child was to be a Photographer.

My favourite shoot memory is working as a studio assistant for Peter Lindberg (2017) and Tim Walker (2018) for the annual Pirelli Calendar, meeting/working with talent i.e. Helen Mirren, Whoopi Goldberg, Naomi Campbell etc. Little did I know, I’d be on the other side, producing similar campaigns now, with high profile talent.

My favourite shoot success story is once we had to fly a model from NY to Mallorca because the model we had on set got sick. The tricky part was that they had to look alike, and we had to find and fly her over in less than 12h so it was pretty sharp but we did it!!!

My favourite shoot success story is producing a Tommy Hilfiger campaign in Florida Keys because it was a shoot in paradise with a crew of 80! White sand and palm trees, and I helped coordinate it's smooth running.

The weirdest shoot request I’ve had was to organise a stunt horse rearing on it's hind legs.

My superpower is serving amazing earrings always.

My dream job as a child was to be a comic book artist.

The best part about my job is being able to craft stories that engage audiences of some of the world’s biggest brands.

My superpower is being able to create cohesive pieces of content from whatever is at my disposal.

My dream job as a child was to be a dump truck driver.

The most challenging shoot request I’ve had was finding pygmy goats last minute.

My favourite shoot memory is starring in a commercial for Direct Line, shot in Cape Town but my granny sees it on TV in the UK all the time.

My superpower is singing.

As a child I wanted to be a fashion designer, so I went to university to study design and it turns out I’m bad at making clothes, so that didn’t work out…

I kind of still ended up working with fashion, and the best part of my job is my team.

One of the most challenging campaign requests I’ve had was when a stylist had fallen ill last minute, and I had to jump in and assist as a stylist for the day. We had to shoot 120 looks in one day, but we managed it!

My superpower is making conversation with anyone!

The weirdest shoot request I’ve have had was to arrange an unlimited supply of chicken nuggets.

I like to think my superpower is organising.. but it’s probably social skills.

My dream job as child was to be a Marine biologist, working with sea creatures and swimming in the ocean, exploring new areas!

The best part of my job is meeting new people, seeing old faces and building sets.

The most challenging campaign I’ve worked on was turning Fearne Cottons house into a Christmas Wonderland in under an hour - was the maddest rush of my life. It looked amazing in the end though, with a real Christmas tree and wrapped presents!

My superpower is my ability to stay positive through absolutely anything!

My dream job as a child was to be a musician, at around 10 years old really I just wanted to be like Beyonce.

The best part of my job is that I’m a part of something creative and wonderful, with lovely people!

It's hard to say which one is the weirdest shoot request I've had, they can all be a bit weird or challenging in different ways!

When I was younger my dream job was to have my own business! But once I started collecting NME magazines, I was set on becoming a Music Journalist and went on to study it at uni.

The best part of my job is working with a great team and meeting lots of lovely people!
